Hello People

New user here for the Hcigar VT200.

I have just got some SS316L 24g Wire was trying to figure out which CSV file to use?

I have at the moment uploaded to my VT200 as follows:

316, 316L Elite and the profile some one posted on here (sorry forgot the name).

When placed on the VT200 the ohms comes in at 0.29 but its crap cold vape and hits TC instant, If i keep the button pressed and get the ohms to 0.32 after some heat is generated it fires and plenty of vapour and warm.

SO should i lock the ohms? also tested the ohms on ohm metre as well and reads the same as the VT200.

I am using a Steam Crave Aromariser with the Velocity deck.

No issues with NI200 Ti01 or Kanthal but with the couple of hours testing Stainless Steel does seem to give me a denser vape and full flavour.

Thanks
Lance

I had the same issue try the 304 better but not perfect each wire manufacturers use a different mix of alloys so its hard to match tcr ( I use UD ss316l 26 awg with the same tank as you ) if you find a better file please let me know !

Have you tried using Steam Engine's temp control generator thingy? http://www.steam-engine.org/wirewiz.asp#

You can make the TCR what ever you want. But if you put in a higher TCR than you actually have, then the temp will be higher than you think. Meaning you have 400 set, but actual it's 500F.

If you do a burn test with dry cotton, you could at least see if you are in the ball park. If you are making a little visible smoke 420-470 you are in the ball park. I have to use 304 with my 316 crown coils just because the nickle legs throw it off. But if you are buying 316 wire, then it should be 316.

There are so many 'SS316L' alloy mixes, nevermind the non SAE conversions that it's difficult to use any SS316L without knowing exactly what you have.

Here's some for UD SS316L, version 4 is a tad warmer; I'm using 1 single 24 gauge wire at appx 0.32 Ohms. The 'standard' SS316L was too cool.

Version 3 - http://www.filedropper.com/dna200-ud-ss316ldjaquithv3

Version 4 - http://www.filedropper.com/dna200-ud-ss316ldjaquithv4

Another variant of SS316L - http://www.filedropper.com/dna200-ss316ldjaquithv7

When I click your v4 link it just brings me to the filedropper home page. Is there any other way I can get it?

Ok another build

SS316L 24g dual 11 wraps 2.5mm on ohms meter it comes out at 0.40, Then when i put it on the VT200 it registers 0.37 but it does fire but it hits TP and doesn't go higher than 20w and cold vape not much vapor either.

This is with a UD Bellus and Aramoriser RDTA.

So if i take the tank back off and put it back on the ohms will go up by 0.04 to 0.41 and then fires with a lovely warm vape.1

But when i leave the tank for say 10 minutes and go back to it, It has gone back to 0.37 and back to hitting TP with in a second.

Tried 4 different CSV files inc the ones from Jaquith and wire wizard.

On power only mode its perfect.

Lance - did you try locking the Ohm at 0.41 and see what it does when you come back afterwards?

Yep i have and it works.

But in order to get it to a ohms that work its hit and miss as i have to fire it in kanthal for a split second then take the tank off and back on again and if im lucky then the ohms will have raised 0.02 to 0.03 and then lock it and it works, But am i getting the correct TC or ?

Easy enough, here's version 3.5; it's lower temps are unchanged, but the higher temps are an average of V3 and V4 .. hence V3.5 - http://www.filedropper.com/dna200-ud-ss316ldjaquithv35

In addition, V3.25 is an average of V3 and V3.5 at the higher temps - http://www.filedropper.com/dna200-ud-ss316ldjaquithv325

Let me know! BTW on SS I try to keep the preheat between 2-3; I'm using a 1.9 at 0.5 seconds with a 120% of the set wattage.

Wow. Ok, I'm uploading these profiles on my VT200 right now. So which one of these CSV files do you think will work best with the UD 316L? And by saying you try to keep the preheat between 2-3, are you talking about the punch?
