You mean 0.2 and 0.5 volts difference right? Hopefully you really mean 0.02 and 0.05 volts different. The latter is a bit disturbing, but should be fine. The former 0.2 and 0.5 would be horrifying. And the DNA should be popping up the Imbalance error when you try to fire it.

As far as EScribe... well just check the cell voltages and play around with the screen timing, percent of brightness, etc. Whenever you vape by the computer, run the Device Monitor and see if you can catch it when the screen lights up. Maybe it is firing for a tenth of a second or something. But it could be just waking up for no reason is what it looks like now. Nothing you can do about that really, as that is in the board. Might need to contact Protovapor or Evolv.

So what can this mean? Is there any function in Escribe that mite help me diagnose this issue?
@black lace Maybe you can go and Help someone else [smile] Your kind of Help is not appreciated or wanted here in my thread. So run along & Have a Nice Day [smile]

Yes no worries and thank you for the pictures of how to make a pigs ear out of a silk purse.. playing with a computer aint going to fix that ... and btw your screens off centre..lamo

Yes I did mean .02/.05 [smile] it still seems strange, I have several Lipo powered DNA200's & none of them do that. There mite be a difference of .01 on one of the cells or no difference between them at all. The real funny thing is it's so random, for over an hour now nothing & the battery is still all most fully charged [smile] When I first took it off the charger it lit up 3 or 4 times with in minutes of each other.
Here's a pic of my collection [smile] BTW the soldering worked on all of them [smile]

Now it doesnt make sense that you cant diferentiate a mechanical issue from programing,

@steamer861: Wow that is an impressive collection! I love it! Anyway yes that voltage difference is strange and it might just straighten itself out after a number of recharges. Although if it only gets worse, then you have a problem. Btw, I did order one from Protovapor today. I did hold off on the DNA200 mod and lipo. I wanted to see the box and the 510 in my hands first to look things over before I order the rest of it.

I ordered another one myself [smile]  I'm anticipating putting a DNA75 in it, with an 18650 battery sled [smile] I plan on modding the back cover with some magnets, I will be settling for only 75 watts but gaining the convince of a replaceable cell [smile] I don't regularly vape over 50 watts But really like the big watt preheat punch from the DNA200. I guess I will see how it works out with only a 75 watt board, when there available [smile]

As far as the fully max in the lights on mod, it discharged evenly down to 3.99 volts [smile]
When I got the discrepancy in volts it was still new, maybe that has something to do with it?
I had it hooked up to Escribe to see if I could get it to put the lights on But it seems to not want to malfunction with the USB connected.
Right now I'm going to try older Firmware to see if I could get it to operate normally,
If not I will get in touch with Evolv to see If they will RMA it [frown]

strongly recomend you remake your jsth connections at block to board.
just a simple few minuits of remedial soldering.
i know what im on about..
i cant understand why you start acting like youve shitt yourselfe every time i mention soldering..

Day 3 the light stays on constantly this morning & this is a screen shot [frown] I officially give up on this chip.
At this point I'm worried it will screw up my battery [frown]

Sounds like a good idea. Do you think a dual 18650 battery sled would fit? You know two 18650 in parallel.

Nothing happened with older firmware, eh?

I don't know how long it can run the display? But if it gets low you can always charge it and then disconnect the battery once charged if you are not going to use it I guess. Did you start the RMA procedure yet?

BillW50 I tried several old firmwares I think it got worse [frown] Now the screen wont go off at all. I haven't  started RMA yet there's no one home on the weekend.
I will shoot them an email Monday. There is just barely enough room for a single 18650 sled in the ERM, dual is definitely out for that enclosure.
What you can do is use several lipos in Parallel & get a battery that will last a long time. Only down fall is it's not interchangeable.
For me thats the best thing about the new 75 watt board. Now if i'm going to work I bring a 1300mAH mod so the battery lasts all day, with the new 75 watt board I can just bring a spare battery [smile]

Ok. Well it is better that it stays acting up when sending it in. As if it only acted up say only 1% of the time, they might return it saying there isn't anything wrong with it.

Ok about only room for one 18650. I only see them on my huge computer screen. And everything I get ends up being a lot smaller than it looked on the screen. [crazy]

I generally stay away from lipo mods myself. As 18650 mods are just too convenient for me. Who knows, maybe my ERM will house a DNA75 too. [idea]

if you remove your board and look at your jst block soldering, you may have a bad connection there or a single strand of wire intermitantly shorting across from one lead to anouther may be enough, to trigger a screen responce, either way your board will be coming out to get sent back, i can see that your soldering is cold, (poorly flowed) when building or assembling a mod or any other componant, the fitter should trust the solid state componant as one of mass produced thousands is of good order and should first check, even reado his work,, you said days ago that your soldering is sound but it can be clearly be seen that it is poor and you wish to over look it, and go on and on about the problem rather than the cause,, in the workplace i would have condemed it alot sooner than you but i would also susspect that anouther incident has occurrd that you havent mentioned, eg, you have shorted the board live, seen sparks and know that any further practical handed work would be futile..
there is also clear evidence of somthing desoldered from the ground tab.. suggesting it is a board salvaged from anouther mod or you initialy wiered it up wrong.

I don't think the soldering is the issue, maybe it's not the best, but it doesn't look dry and is a lot better than some I've seen in commercial mods.  The ground pads often come like that and I happen to know where Steamer got his boards from and he has made at least 8 other working DNA 200s.
