Awesome, just did mine. Considering the cost of this thing it was a bit nerve wracking, but i did a lot more then this to the insides of my IPV4 and it came out alright so i figured may as well. [smile]

^^^I hear ya. i felt like MacGyver defusing a bomb. sweat rolling off my brow, trying to steady my hands as I wonder whether to cut the blue wire or the red one. thank god i cut the blue one. it disarmed the reuleaux bomb and only then was I able to safely tuck my ribbon without blowing my self up. lol i was just as clueless and worried as most people who own this mod. If i can help with something I try my best. thankfully those pics were available from the reuleaux FB group. i wasn't sure if it would let me copy and paste em.

Just a comment about when I fixed mine. As I was pulling up the screen up all I could think about was " gee this is stuck on there pretty good, I hope that it doesn't pull any components off the board with it". And it did not.

Thanks Chunky,  I know everyone a little hesitant about opening up a new mod.  The pics really helped and made it a 10 min repair.  You need an #00 phillips for the small screws.  Took me longer to find the screwdriver than to fix the mod.

Thanx a lot Chunky. [thumb] I've just fixed the placement for the ribbon. Without your post I would be lost.
It took me 5 minutes and I don't have to worry about the screen anymore.

Thanks so much for posting this modification.  I did the modification.  I had to put a set of magnifiers on to see the actual button hitting the screen.   I never like taking things apart but after seeing this first hand it would only be a matter of time before the button wore out the ribbon and cause a shorting condition so yea best to just move the ribbon.    One has to wonder how many other mods are out having the same issue.

Bugger it! Busted my screen trying this because I repeatedly folded the ribbon trying to get it underneath with a plastic stick that was probably (it was) too large for the job.
Had only the top half of the screen working after my first attempt and now its totally blank after fiddling around more, I didn't realize how fragile the ribbon is.
Looks like im vaping super stealth mode until more screens come in stock.

One thing I noticed after trying for the first time was the locking tab for the ZIF connector was in the open position. I hope to god I haven't screwed up the board.

the zif zocket latch latch will come open cause of the sticky side of the foam tape pulls it open when lifting the screen just snap it back down and see if yer screen is workin again.

IMO the fix shouldn't need removing the screen, I can't be 100% as my Reuleaux is still in the postal system, but from the pictures you could just put a thin bit of plastic between the button and the screen cable, perpendicular to the board, maybe attached to the dark outer housing.
