Recently, I'm prototyping a DNA 75 build using 2 small 1200 mah lipo batteries wired in parallel. The batteries I have measure 52mm by 30mm by 9mm and are normally used in RC helicopters. Anybody found any better options? I can have lipos made custom, but that's hella expensive.

What brand/model are those batteries, Tiger?  Something like this http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__18558__Turnigy_2200mAh_1S_20C_Lipoly_Single_Cell_.html can be stacked, if your soldering skills are good.  Someone I know has five of them, stacked, in a beautiful, custom, ERM style enclosure an says it lasts for a weekend.

I'm not a real fan of Hobby King, but they do offer some 1S LiPO packs at lower pries than that one, I think.  Turnigy seems pretty decent.  I have three of them in 3S powering DNA200s and they're holding up well, approaching 100 cycles on all three, and life/recharge time are still at great levels.

Other places to look for lipo batteries are nice, bit I'm wanting to know if anyone has found better batteries then I have of the same basic size.

I've rewired a Fullymax 3S 900mah, into a 3p...probably the smallest package I could come across with 3 in parallel.  Their pack assembly actually made it fairly easy to breakdown and rewire - no circuit board at all, but I would advise using some adhesive solvent and a thin piece of wire to separate each cell to flip it for proper orientation.
