I'd open another ticket and include a link to the above post.

I started experiencing incorrect (continually changing, always much higher than actual) ohm readings with my S-Body Nuke after upgrading to SP3. After burning a few wicks, I opened the mod casing and tightened the 510 connection and upgraded to SP4 but still had the same issue. After downgrading to the 02/2016 version, its back to its rock solid self and working as perfect as my calibrated Ohm meter is.

So I'm not the only one...
Spoke (again) with evolv support who asked me to send the board in USA, living in UK would be expensive, so I prefer to wait a new firmware and in case proceed with the lost vape support, nick from evolv didn't have any clue about this problem cause of course sounds crazy and illogical.

Frankie what atty are you using?

Ps: nick confirmed me there weren't any changes to the ohms reading between the old and the new firmware.

It's not that bad I have sent one from the UK before and they pay the return postage.

Didn't mention about the impossibility to remove the board from the case ☺️

It is the retails responsibility, then maybe the mod makers, Evolv are going above and beyond here trying to help you when they don't have to.

For my tests, I tried the Kayfun v5 original and the SJMY clone with single, simple nickel and SS316 builds. The 0.09 ohm nickel coil was reading as high as 1.12 ohm. So to do further testing I also tried OBS Engine and Reaper Plus with dual SS316 builds, and got similar results. As for sending the board back to Evolv, right now its working ok with the old firmware. I figure I should leave it be and just use it until the new release.

I'd change the 510 out, i'd put my money on a poor connection between the 510 centerpin and atty centerpin dirty, or infirm'' or broken 510 inards.. in your pic, try a nice big blob of solder off a hot iron to freshly cleaned with emery papper and fluxed between the 510 and mod body to ground the two. I think your problems are mechanical and it wount make a difference what program you put in the chip,
.. just like a tellevision, if the speaker wires broken it doesnt matter what channel your watching ect ect

Thanks mate for the reply.
Next week ill try to contact the seller and ask him about what to do to send this box for warranty, if it would be a problem with the 510 connector i should get the same issue on every fw im using, this happens only with the newer ones, i would like to think is a problem caused by the board instead of the 510.

I'm convinced your describing an intermitant short,, and its the intermitant bit that will do your head in,,, i may be compleatly wrong and admit i know little about chip programing,, for me the board either works or it doesnt, if you go into your wattage mode, drop it down as far as it will go and retrieve the build number, see if evolvs had any moor of that batch back or '''' what ever.. its allways cost me about seven quid recorded delivery to send a board to the USA and labeleld it as a dead computer chip, they pay the return and the postman signs for it when he hands the replacement to you..

If it were the board wouldn't it do it with any version of firmware?
